Braddock Light Up Night!
Braddock Light Up Night will be held December 21st, 4-6pm at the Braddock Elks, 424 Library Street. Come down for tree lighting, free pizza, toys, crafts, and family photos with Santa!!! Brought to you by Braddock Redux and the Braddock Carnegie Library.

Community: Joy Ike to perform charity concert! Thursday 11/18
Come and Support "A night of Hope" Charity Benefit for The Braddock Community Partnership Scholarship Fund. The Featured Artist for the night will be renowed Singer Joy Ike. Tickers are $7 dollars which includes a free buffet after the concert. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 412-537-0435 , 412-537-0435. Tickets will also be available at the door. Community: Free Flu Shots in Braddock on 11/16
Next Tuesday, 11/16, free flu shots will be available to Mon Valley residents at Heritage Community Initiatives, 820 Braddock Avenue, 8am - 1pm. This service is brought to us through the efforts of the SHIPs, the local EMS services, and the PA Department of Health.

Community: BCP Bowling Fundraising Event, Sat. 11/13
The Braddock Community Partnership is holding a scholarship fundraiser this Saturday 11/13/10. Proceeds will benefit a scholarship fund for Braddock Teens. Swissvale Arcade Lanes - 10pm to 1pm.

Halloween 2010 in Braddock’s Community Center!
Braddock Redux hosts 2010 Halloween Party! Many costumed kids and parents alike participated in the festivities - including a haunted house, scary story time, pumpkin carving, a photo booth, raffles, DJ Chevy, pizza, caramel apples, and candy. We'd like to extend a thank you to the Braddock Carnegie Library, the Braddock Youth Project, AmeriCorps and to the many Braddock community members for their involvement and assistance with this event.

Braddock’s First *FREE* Store Event!
Braddock Redux throws Braddock's first *Free Store* this October 16th at our new Community Center! New and lightly worn clothing for men, women, and children were donated from a movie recently shot in Braddock. 1pm-5pm.

Braddock Youth Project Fall 2010
Braddock Youth Project's after school program is just about ready to begin. This full-year program will employ 14 local youth to become interns in BYP's larger Summer program. They will aquire program management skills, community outreach, event planning, as well as tutoring and job training.

Kaboom Playground comes to Braddock
With the help of 100 volunteers, Kaboom, Home Depot, and Heritage Health Initiatives built a new Braddock playground in one day! The playground is located in the BYP Community Garden, near Library Street and Braddock Ave, adjacent to our forthcoming Community Center. It is open daily from dawn till dusk. Fresh Thursdays at Braddock Farmstand!
The Braddock Grow Pittsburgh Farmstand and Neighborhood information exchange introduce Fresh Thursdays! Hosted by Phyllis Brown and featuring local specialties and the specialists that product them. We are located at 6th and Braddock Ave, right next to Bells Market. Thursdays 2-6pm. 10/7 - Sweet Treats bake sale to benefit the Braddock Carnegie Library, 10/14 - Raspberries Preserved: Homemade jams and syrups by Pat Morgan. Also: Tips on weatherizing your house and programs available to make winters warm and economical.

Braddock Farms Season Begins!
Braddock Farms Market: Thursdays, 2-6pm. Braddock Farms is entering its third growing season on abandoned lots in Braddock! This season Braddock Farms has expanded its growing area and will be adding a Farmers Market stand at the corner of Braddock and 6th avenues (by Bell’s Market). Braddock Farms is managed by Grow Pittsburgh with support from WWOOFers and the Braddock Youth Project. Fruits and vegetables from Braddock Farms find themselves in the kitchens of local residents as well as many Pittsburgh restaurants. Grow Pittsburgh’s mission is to demonstrate, teach and promote responsible urban food production. http://www.growpittsburgh.org
